I've had mine for well over 6 months now and it has the same shade on it. It still has a scent too, so I don't know why mine's lasted while everyone else seems to complain that theirs doesn't. And yes, I have left it running for the full 4 hrs (and beyond). The scent isn't overwhelming either. I don't find a need for more than one base since it is completely portable. All you need are 2 AA batteries and you can put it anywhere. Works wonders for my stinky dogs too. F.Y.I. I have 3 boys @ over 60lbs a piece so yea I was glad I bought this.

Don't waste your money! These things last at best a week, and that's at best. Within a day or two the scent starts to fade away and you can barley smell it anymore.

Product is exactly as advertised. Scent is a little pungent. Packaged arrived one day before scheduled. Will purchase other scents at a later date.
